In life, we can either let our experiences make us bitter, or we can channel that feeling towards being a good example in order to improve things.

blog friends

-
Isn't it interesting how we know each other on the computer but if we were to see each other, we would have no idea that's who we're talking to. Unless we give each other information before meeting. - We could all be in a room together and have no idea, lol. Of course some might be able to figure it out while having a conversation.

If someone in that room found out about you, would you be embarrassed or pleasantly surprised? I think for me it depends. If it's someone I don't know, I would be pleasantly surprised. And if it's someone I know, I would be embarrassed.

Interesting thought. I would be pleasantly surprised in any case, unless it is a person I dislike.

I’ve actually wondered a few times if perhaps a blogger was at the same Simchah for e.g.
It's seems very fun to meet bloggers.
Perhaps one day...

Food for thought. I actually once met an e-friend, on purpose, and it was one of the wierdest things I've done. Ever. Interestingly, though, I learned a lot. This person knew about a deeper side of me than most of my face-to-face friends, and I liked that. I think it would be wierd to be caught off guard, though.

This has happened to me, met someone who read my blog/posts and it was someone I knew very well, I was pleasantly surprised but it was not bad.

I actually met other bloggers, but on purpose, when I was in Israel last year. It was fantastic and not weird at all. But of course, it was planned.

I've thought about that..
Its really funny..how we can form intense bonds online and be strangers in real life

since I don't keep my identity secret, no big deal
I started this blog to be be "secret side" but I just couldn't keep up the charade and have trouble revealing much, so here that's me.

Prag, yep it does seem fun. And it's very possible that you might.

Knaidel, that's interesting about them knowing more about you because of your blog. Yep, it would be weird to be caught off guard.

Shy, lol, my friends probably wouldn't believe it either about me.

Heimishe, glad it was nice.

Jewish smorg, that must have been cool

David, yea it is really funny.

Muse, I guess that's the pitfall. But you still have a great blog, none the less.

I wouldn't mind if it was someone I liked and someone I could trust not to tell the world. I would love to meet bloggers though.

That's true, it's nicer if it's someone that we trust.

very interesting thought, which i can't agree with enough, it is so true.

I think too that

"If it's someone I don't know, I would be pleasantly surprised. And if it's someone I know, I would be embarrassed"

I've met many people who I knew through blogging. I have at least three reasonably close girlfriends from the blogosphere, along with a fiance :)

Yeah, I get that too. Sometimes I wonder if the person I'm talking to is someone I know from online. However, the more frustrating thing for me is figuring out where people online get to know you from...

lol, yea.
