In life, we can either let our experiences make us bitter, or we can channel that feeling towards being a good example in order to improve things.

Just a story

Guess where this is? Here's a hint, it's in Manhattan. Yep, this is a pic I took a long while ago while in New York. I love this park. It's great for sitting and relaxing or taking a walk with a friend, etc. A friend of mine and I took a walk through the park and enjoyed the scenary and different things going on there. At first we were walking in circles but then we found another path while engrossed in our conversation. After we finished, we found that we came to a lake.
Actually we came to a fountain first, and then to the lake.
We sat down to relax and we watched some kids sitting beside us feeding the ducks. It was nice to just sit and unwind there.
Plus, anytime you want to, you can go back in your in mind to that place and relax.
Of course, there are plenty of parks here too that
are beautiful, but this one is something else.

Nice.

First thing that popped into my mind when I saw this post was another post you had posted shortly before this one about TIME :)

"Memories of years past
Flash by like it was yesterday
But as I reminisce
I also want to enjoy the moment
And make new memories
To have for later
Because the only chance I have
Is now"

I really liked that one.

I love nature. I just can't get enough of it, and don't have the time to escape often enough, but when I finally do; ahhhhhhhh It does something to the mind.

I also try to take the scenery into my mind, and then flash back to it, when I am in desperate need of some.

I enjoyed among others the mountain views New Hampshire, The Ocean Views in Florida, last but not least The magnificent views of Erets Yisroal, I dream of going to Switzerland, never been there yet

Dreamer, yes the beach, I love it too

David, yep it's an excellent escape

CS, I'm glad you enjoyed that one

Nuch, me too. I love nice scenery and either take pictures or just keep it in my mind. I heard Switzerland is gorgeous.

Nice pic I figured it was Central Park right away. I have not gone there so many times, I had fun boating there once.

Social, I haven't been on the boat ride but would like to.

Yeah, the parks in Manhattan had me pleasantly surprised the first time I wen to one.
Hard to imagine that among the skyscrapers, pollution, and noise that there's an oasis of tranquility...

yea, it's a great treasure

I used to LIVE in central park. Well, not literally, but it was my place. We all have our "peaceful place" and central park was mine. When I moved to California I found a new place that gave me that peace of mind, but it can never really replace it.

Yep, I agree.
Speaking of which, there's this really nice one near me on the other side of town that I haven't been to in awhile.
