The city of happiness is in the state of mind. A friend of mine wrote that on their FB status.
Sometimes we have little annoyances and sometimes big ones. With the little ones, we should practice the phrase, don’t sweat the small stuff. For example, we are looking for something around the house and can’t find it. This can be very frustrating. However, we should pause and put it into perspective. If it’s something that's not so important, then stop and continue another time. If it’s important, then keep looking and have patience.
Or lets say we are in the car and there is a lot of traffic. This can be very annoying also. However, if we focus on something else in the meantime like a CD, then we reduce our stress. It’s all a matter of how we choose to deal with things. We can be angry and stressed, or we can say to ourselves, it’s just one of those things, and deal with it calmly. Takes a lot of discipline, but it’s worth it in order to live a less stressful, and more pleasant life.
One thing that helps is to realize that everything has a reason. We might not know the reason, but we know it’s there. I remember someone saying a long while ago that her house was robbed during the day when no one was home. - This is huge for anyone, I’m sure it was for her too at the moment. But when she mentioned it to me and someone else, she said that she’s grateful that she and her family are okay Baruch Hashem, and she mentioned about it being a kaporah(atonement).
Also, more recently, something happened with me in which I slipped on the back stairs at home. It hurt, but BH I’m okay.
If it’s a small thing like the internet not working, be glad it’s a small thing and be patient. If something bigger happens but you’re all okay, be glad for that.
Have a good rest of the week :)

very true, great post!
Nicely put Sharona, its always hard to realise that there is someone else worse off than we are. Keeping things in perspective is the challenge for all of us.
