In life, we can either let our experiences make us bitter, or we can channel that feeling towards being a good example in order to improve things.

On the phone

.

Did this ever happen to you? Some time ago, I was walking down the block and then someone said 'hi, how are you.' I'm wondering who he is, and then I realized he's not talking to me. He's wearing an earpiece and talking on the phone.
I can imagine someone from the past coming to nowadays and then going back to the past, and some one asks the time traveller 'what's the future like?' And he replies, 'Everyone talks to themselves.'

Time to say good shabbos

communication

A few weeks ago, I went to a shabbos kallah. While sitting around, we took turns giving the kallah a blessing and some advice. Something that really stuck out for me is what a certain lady said about not taking things personally.

Recently, I was talking to someone, and we came to the topic of different wines. I mentioned a few I know, and they said that they had no idea what I was talking about. I felt offended because it sounded like they were saying that they didn't know what I was saying. And so I told them, and they said that they knew what I was saying, they just don't know that brand of wine. And so I told them that they should have just said that, so it would be more clear. And they said that there's more than one way to say things. Then I decided that I should probably not take it personally. They didn't mean it the way it sounded. I guess I just didn't like the tone.
