Which approach do you take when having a discussion and giving someone information about something? Do you take the straightforward approach and tell them straight out the information even if they don't agree and it's hard for them to hear certain things? Or do you try to be gentle when telling them the information?
Me personally, I do the second approach. For one thing, I'm the type that worries about upsetting people. And so when I give information about something, I try to do it in a gentle way so they focus on the message and not on being angry. However, I believe that being honest with people is better than being politically correct. And so I give them the facts but in a nice way. I'm into finding the middle ground, sticking with the facts while delivering it softly.
Of course, some topics I stay away from if I feel that the person totally won't understand. However, if I feel they're open enough, I'll discuss it with them.
I know I shouldn't care what people think, and if it's something important, I should tell them. But I do care, and so I don't mention it. However, I might if I gather a lot of info to support me.
So what approach do you do?

In life, we can either let our experiences make us bitter, or we can channel that feeling towards being a good example in order to improve things.

Those elevator moments
I was on an elevator at a shoping center and it was almost full. We went up a little and then the door opened. One guy said to the people outside, "You can try to come in if you want." Then a few people walked in and he said, "I was only kidding." The ones in the back started laughing. Then he said sorry to everyone. The elevator went up a little more and the door opened again. This time he says to them, "No!" And there was more laughter. Then a couple people said to them "Try it, try it." And they came in.
Deffenately one of my more interesting elevator experiences lol

oy jury duty
Trial by error?I just got a jury duty notice in the mail. I hate these things, lol. I remember the last time I went a few years ago, I was so bored because I was just sitting there in a room waiting to see if I'll be picked. I guess I should have brought something with to keep me occupied. We were given different group numbers and had to keeping calling during the week to see if our group number has to come in that day. Fortunately, I didn't have to come back. Few! Well now I have it again. This time, I'm bringing a book.

Perseverance
A friend of mine and I were talking about this topic.
Sometimes a certain goal or task looks huge and it seems like we'll never accomplish it. Especially if we're going forward and doing well and then slip and fall to the bottom.
But what we should remember is it doesn't mean we failed. We can still succeed if we keep trying and go forward. One thing that helps to alleviate the task is to focus on the journey instead of the result or destination. It's the journey and effort we put into it that counts. As it says in Pirkei Avos 2:21 ''It is not up to you to complete the task, but you're not free to withdraw from it.'' The job might be really hard, but we are only expected to try our best.
