Trial by error?I just got a jury duty notice in the mail. I hate these things, lol. I remember the last time I went a few years ago, I was so bored because I was just sitting there in a room waiting to see if I'll be picked. I guess I should have brought something with to keep me occupied. We were given different group numbers and had to keeping calling during the week to see if our group number has to come in that day. Fortunately, I didn't have to come back. Few! Well now I have it again. This time, I'm bringing a book.

i got GRAND jury duty.
the kind you can't get out of.
but i only ended up serving four days out of ten, (though it can last six months at times) cuz it was over x-mas, and then there was an mta strike, and it was chanuka and fridays so they let me leave early... :)

I love Jury duty. Its a day off from work that you get payed for. You can read the newspaper, learn and relax just not in the comfort of your home. Its also a great thing to do to understand how our justice system works and how our country was founded.
Huh. I haven't been tapped yet, what with my bouncing around all over. I'm registered to vote in my hometown, but I go to school in Jersey, so my dad says that keeps me covered...
Yuck, last time I had jury duty I got picked and missed a few days of work, finally the case was aquitted.

A friend of mine at work just got back from Grand Jury duty...lucky her (not). And my roommate has jury duty this week as well.
