Here we go
Our Adventure
We all met in NY and spent a couple of days there going to different places and hanging out. Then we went to the airport and waited to board the plane. Finally, we got on the plane and made ourselves comfortable. Then the captain told us where we're going and we froze. "What?!" someone in the group said "That's not where we want to go!"
"We're on the wrong plane!" Someone else said.
We tried to get off, but the flight attendent wouldn't let us. It was too late. We were stuck and going to....

That is pretty freaky wonder where the destination was.
Pimple, exaclty.
Social, *or is. I'm leaving it up to you guys to pick a place. Unless you guys want me to choose.
KASHMIR!!!
Gan Eden, At least we did something right!
I'll continue where pimples left off...
We sat back and enjoyed the rest of the ride. Or at least, attempted to enjoy it. We had no idea what to do when we got there, and we certainly weren't packed well for our surprise destination: San Francisco.
At this time of year, New York's pretty chilly, but San Fran is reportedly pretty mild for quite a bit longer.
After getting off the plane, we realized to our dismay that - while we got onto the wrong plane - apparently, our luggage hadn't.
With no ideas, no belongings except the clothes on our backs, and the few items we still had in out carry-on bags, we knew we had to save our resources. We pooled our funds and realized we had enough money to make it into downtown, where there is a kosher restaurant, and most likely a Chabad house as well. But that was it; after that cab into the city, we'd be left penniless as well...
I'd hate it of that happened!
lol, me too. Especially if I don't have my luggage with me.
Hopefully, the group will figure something out and still have a good time.
I have an idea.
After we took a cab into town, we walked around and wondered what we were going do. We decided that first, we should find a place to stay and put down our carry-ons. And then, think about what to do next. We found a chabad house and were given rooms to stay in. Since we were tired, we relaxed for a while and spoke about what to do next.
We decided to walk around town for a while and look at the different stuff there. While walking, someone in the group said, "Oh my G-d, I can't believe I forgot. I found something in my apple that I was eating on the plane, and put it in my carry-on." "What was it that you found?" Someone else asked. They answered. "It was a small diamond." A look of shock was on all of our faces
Oh, I'm gonna have fun with this...
We all looked at each other with surprise. "Well," I said, it's nice of you to tell us that..."
"I'm sorry," was the reply, "but I just forgot about it in all the ensuing excitement. I know, it was airheaded, but..."
"Eh, don't worry about it." I said, thinking furiously to myself about how to turn this to our advantage. I was stuck for ideas. As I turned towards the rest of the group to ask for their input, I noticed a tremendous thug looming over them. When they saw my reaction, they too turned and saw the guy. He brandished a huge knife. "Your money or your lives. No funnt moves, I'm all business. Listen, and you won't get hurt. But if you mess around..." he didn't need to finish the thought.
We all trembled in fear at this new event. In hindsight I realized that we seriously outnumbered him, but in the context of the story, that tidbit of information seemed to slip past the radar.
Frozen in fear, none of us moved.
"I warned ya," he declared, moving forward. I shut my eyes, waiting for the end, but instead of the expeccted pain, I heard the unexpected voice of our quiet bookish friend. "I was thinking maybe you could help us," my friend said, stepping forward. "You claim to be a businessman, right?"
The thug nodded. "Yeah, I'm all about the business. So what?"
My friend took a deep breath, "Well, sir, it happens to be that you caught us on a bad day..." After telling most of the details of the previos events, my friend cautiously showed the thug the diamond we had only just discovered. "We need money. we figure that maybe we can get some cash in exchange for this diamond here, but we don't have any contacts. I was thinking maybe you'd know a good fence for us?"
The thug rubbed his chin. "And there'd be a finder's fee, right?"
My friend nodded. "Of course. This is business, isn't it?"
The thug stepped back and looked at us. "You kids look kind of innocent. Why not? I got nothing better to do." With that, he turned and started walking down the street.
We crowded around our friend. "That was amazing!" someone exclaimed, "where'd you learn all that from?" Sheepishly, our friend just answered "Books, I guess." We wanted to ask more, but the thug turned around and said "Well, are ya comin' or not?"
ausome... ur getting sum pretty intresting stuff...
This reminds me of the choose your own adventure books that I used to read growing up. Maybe you should write one of those.
Continuation:
We followed the man and he took us to someone who can help us exchange the diamond.
After getting the cash, we gave the man a little and then went on our way.
"What should we do now?" One girl asked.
"I don't know. But we should deffinately do something." Someone else said.
We decided to go to a restaurant first and then make some more plans later. After searching a bit for a kosher restaurant, we finally found one and went inside.
lol...that once happened on my flight...
The pilot announced the weather in Cleveland is 23 degrees with light flurries...when this horrified couple wearing bermuda shorts...jumped out of their seats..lol
guys this is what i used to do in class... its great!
i dont know if i should continue the thread or not...
David - oy poor couple, lol
Yoniqua - If you want, go for it.
Once inside, each person wanted to order something different from the other. One wanted roasted chicken, the other steamed vegtables, and still, there was more orders than could be handled. Suddenly, the waitress appeared, stunnned at our talking all at the same time and....
And was wondering if we made up our mind about what we want to order. Finally, we each told her what we want and she went away.
We spoke about different things for awhile and then the food came. It was excellent and so filling. Just what we needed. We made our plans for the week and then spoke about other things. Afterwards, we decided to pay the bill and leave.
We walked around town some more. By now it was dark and the place was lit up. Then we went back to where we were staying. On the itinerary for the week is lazer tag, bowling, going to the theme park "Paramount's Great America" and other things.
