In life, we can either let our experiences make us bitter, or we can channel that feeling towards being a good example in order to improve things.

WOW

-

This article story I found about reversing Tisha b'av and bringing Hashem's Presence back through unity is truely beautiful! Especially the story in there towards the end about the writer of the article and a mother she visited who both decided to improve in certain areas in order to save the mother's son who was in the hospital. Which beautifully shows what the power of our efforts can do.

Time flies

This week is my blogiversary. Wow, it's actually been a year. I remember last summer when our blog group was really small and now it's huge. I started my blog in order to share my thoughts and converse with others and it's been a very interesting journey. I appreciate all of you who have joined me and became my cyber friends.

I'll now share what Lvnsm means. It means live and smile. Now I don't mean smile all the time. This is just for life in general. Obliviously like Koheles said there's a time for everything. To be happy, to be sad, to laugh, and to cry.
I feel that we should live our life in a positive way because that is the key to happiness. However, sometimes we need to cry too because it heals and it puts more emotion in our prayers.

Well thanks again to everyone who read and who commented. I really appreciate it.

Helpful suggestion

-

Just want to mention that besides saying tehillim, we should also learn and practice shemiras halashon because that will help our prayers be more effective. When our mouth is impure, our prayers are blocked, but guarding our speech helps our prayers to ascend.
The more we learn, the more we know what to say and what not to say and then all we need is to just keep at it. And we should try to be careful about listening also, unless it's absolutely neccessary.
Plus, knowing the rules of toeles/constructive purpose, is very important when we have to say something and are trying to stay within the guidelines.

Hopefully with our efforts, our prayers will make a tremendous impact.

Under the sea

It's a whole other world down there. Wouldn't go down there myself. I'm not a scuba diving fan. But I love the pics with the rich color and the light shining through. Gorgeous.

Different but equal

Ever notice how funny some studies are? Like for instance, 'Scientists have found that men and women are different. ' I know they were talking about mentally and emotionally but still it's funny because you just have to look at how the two act to notice that there's a difference. I guess though that by doing studies and seeing results, it makes it more official. Which is a good thing because I found that some people have a hard time accepting that the two are different and so I can say to them, 'Hey, scientists have proven it.'

I remember reading something in a school textbook and it was talking about equallity between the two genders. And it was asking are men really more this and are women really more that. What I get from that message is that men and women have to be the same to be equal. I don't know if that's what they mean or not, but if it is then they don't understand that the two genders can be both different and equal. The reason for the difference is so they compliment each other and contribute what they each have. If they both had everything, then there wouldn't be a need for the other gender, other than procreation. Plus, it's Not like men are Only like this and women are Only like that. They have basically the same qualities like they can both be agressive and nurturing. It's just that they have different quantities of it in order to suit their roles.

Tips from a paper towel

Last week, I was looking at a paper towel that had very good tips written on it. I don't remember most of them, but there was one that really stuck in my mind. It suggested that when one is cutting up an onion, they should put a lit candle nearby so they won't tear up while cutting the onion. I haven't tried it and so I don't know if it's works or not. But it should be an interesting experiment.

Then again, there's always the electric chopper. :)

Have a great 4th of July everyone
