In life, we can either let our experiences make us bitter, or we can channel that feeling towards being a good example in order to improve things.

The night sky

Have you ever seen a meteor shower? These things are breathtaking. Personally, I have never seen one. But it would deffinately be an interesting and incredible experience.

Really, just seeing the stars at night is nice. With so many city lights though, just a few are visable.
Oh well, at least it's something. I didn't really pay attention to the stars until I took astronomy. Then I started looking up at the night sky and really looking at the stars. I wasn't sure though if it was actually a star I was looking at or a planet or sattelite. Later someone told me how to tell. However, they still all look the same to me. :) Anyway, it's still cool none the less.

it's amazing what goes on all the time when we're unaware.

'Saw' one a number of years ago in the summer during camp. they passed around some telescopes which were about 50 years old, and all scratched. All I saw was a big blur, probably the head of the guy in front of me....

however your pics are beautiful... would love to see a real meteor shower!

I think the first one is a picture of the aurora's which happens regularly in the north... its like you can see electric current - I dont know if htat is what it is but it look like it... yet another of Hashems wonderous creations!

I love looking at the sky, it is so peaceful. And it puts things into perspective.

Well now, thats funny I should find such a pic of a star! I got home real late last night(Around 4:45 A.M. in Glendale, AZ 85310
on 11-14-07) and when I went into the back yard and looked into East night sky I saw something that at first looked as if it were moving... But it was not, and it was way more bright than ay star I have ever seen before. And with the naked eye I could see the streaks coming from all sides of it. So today I thought I would look to see if there was anything in the night sky that I should be looking for. And the first pic I find is the one on this page, and I was wondering if you ever found out what it was....It said you took that pic a couple of years ago. So if you ever find out what it was please let me know what it is.
Thanx, Jayson :-)
