Like I said before, it was raining on monday. But in the evening it stopped. And later that night, it started again and continued on in the morning and then finally stopped. Tuesday and Wednesday were nice, thank G-d. Kind of cloudy but otherwise okay.
Anyway, my younger brother and his fiance were here, plus his fiance's sister and brother in-law. It was really nice seeing them. For the meals they went to other's first, then came to us on Tuesday night, and someone else for Wednesday lunch. They have a good sense of humor which made things more interesting.
On Wednesday, I went to see some friends. Then I went with them to visit their grandfather at the retirement home and we sat and spoke to him and others for awhile. After that, we went back to my friend's house and I saw someone there who I'm haven't seen in long time because now she lives Monsey. It was so nice to see her again.
A frum girl on the westcoast, and writing what's on my mind. Please check out my older post as well with different topics, thanks
In life, we can either let our experiences make us bitter, or we can channel that feeling towards being a good example in order to improve things.

Boy is it raining!
I put up decorations for the sukka and now it's gushing outside and they're probably all wet and soggy. I don't think we'll get to eat in the sukka tonight. Hopefully we will another time during the week though. What's interesting is the thunder. It's like amazingly loud.
Well got to go.
Have a good yom tov everyone

Looking forward
Well Yom Kippur is almost here. I hope the weather this thursday will be nice and cool like it was on the weekend and not hot. I guess I just have to wait and see.
My brother who goes to college in NY is coming here this Friday im yirtze Hashem with his fiance. He's staying with us and she's staying at someone's guesthouse. I'm looking forward to sukkas. It's always been one of my favorite holidays. I remember I use to when I was younger go sukka hopping with friends. Now, I just visit friends and we stay in one sukka. One of the things that are nice about the chaggim is that you get a break from the mundane to enjoy these special occassions.
Gmar chasima tova.

Man I would love to write a short novel. The only thing is that it takes a long time. First I need an idea. Then it's has to make sense. Then it has to be interesting. Plus, it has to have a lot of dialogue otherwise it would be like a narration. I have a couple of short stories that I have completed, but they still need to be edited. They both have some mystery and drama in them and apparently have a similar theme too about someone disappearing. But they are different stories with different things happening.
Recently, I was working on a story about a this group of friends who graduated HS. One day they found that they were being scapegoated by someone who spread a computer worm and had to find out who it is and clear their name. Meanwhile, this other teen who is younger, had insomnia and needed to get help with it. And the same person who was messing with the group, was also bothering him. Later, the group found that the suspect was a messed up student from the same school. I wanted to finish writing it, and then I couldn't find the notebook that I wrote it in. Oh well. I can write it over I guess. But I don't remember exactly every detail that I wrote. And so it will probably be different which is probably a good thing I guess because it needed editing anyway. Or I might not write again, depending if I'm still in the mood to write it.

Did this ever happen to you? (A bus story)
This happened a long while ago. I was on the metro bus going to Santa Monica College and I was looking at a passenger who I've seen on the bus before, and then I looked away. Later during the day, when I was riding home, I saw the same person on the bus. It was really odd. What are the chances that we will get on the same bus going back. Has this ever happened to you?
Another time, I called my friend R. and we made plans to meet during the week and do something. Later, I got on a bus to go somewhere and a few stops later, R. got on the bus too and was going somewhere else. And I was thinking, I thought we agreed to meet on wednesday, lol :)
It's really interesting how these things happen.
