In life, we can either let our experiences make us bitter, or we can channel that feeling towards being a good example in order to improve things.

Man, there are so many blogs out there. What I like about reading other's blogs is meeting other people and making internet friends. Granted it's not like being with friends in person, but when you can't be with your friends because everyone's doing something else, it's nice to converse on blogs and forums for that matter. What I also like about it is that when you read, you get an understanding of the person and you start caring about them like you do with other friends.

Awhile ago, while I was walking, I was thinking how it would be interesting bumping into someone I don't know and as we're talking, we find out that we read each other's blog. Man, that would interesting. For one thing, we could finally put a face to the person we're reading. :)

It's funny you say this, because in Israel, they have blog get togethers where various blog personalities show up and people meet each other.

I doubt that would work here because people try so hard to keep their identities secret, but nevertheless, it would be fun. We can have business cards printed with our screen names and our blogs. We can call it "blog dating."

By the way, a person once came up to me in law school and talked to me about my blog not knowing I was the author. Blew my mind! -Zoe

Really? They have that? That's interesting.

I think I wouldn't mind telling someone who reads my blog that it's me. But you're right, the get together probably wouldn't work here, b/c some people want to stay anonymous. but it might work for some who don't mind. I like your card idea.

That's so funny, talking to the author and not knowing it. So did you tell them or no?

Real friends are overrated. On the internet, you can be witty for a few seconds and then move on.

Bloging allows us to think, analyze and spell-check before we type. Meeting face to face, we may to say things we regret and speak with anger. Blogs are a great place for expressing ideas. The real world is a place for living them.

I would welcome a blog writers party. If people want to keep their secret identities they can, lulei demistafina, wear masks!

A Blogosphere costume party!

What I like about reading other people's blogs is the discovey of a different perspective, and also realizing that there is not much variation in terms of the things people blog about or struggle with, but there is in their reaction to it.

I like the sense of community, but also the anonymity...

Cloo, I like your idea.

mcaryeh, good point.

Also, we are not fettered by society's concepts of beauty and looks.

I am pretty sure I've met a few fellow bloggers, but I've kept my mouth shut.

I try to keep my identity a secret, but I have fantasized about talking to someone about a subject, quoting a blog and find out we read each other's blog!!
