In life, we can either let our experiences make us bitter, or we can channel that feeling towards being a good example in order to improve things.

The power of song

-
At first it was just one
Then it was two
Then three
And the numbers kept growing
No words, just a tune
It flew through the air
Into the ears of others
It was everwhere

Smooth and serene
And but for a moment
They were lifted up
To another place

Jess, social and YB, thanks

Chaverah, that happens to me too.
It's about people singing and it lifts them to the world of song.

Lovely LVN! I know that music has the power to lift, cheer, make sad, put down, upset....

I have a million different songs to fit my million different moods.

I think this one is too deep for me... it sounds nice but I still don't quite get it even after pondering all the comments.

Prag, :)

Sara, me too

Meg, thanks

Knaidel, this is probably the deepest poem I ever wrote. Didn't know I could write one so deep. :) Picture this, a few people are sitting at a table singing. Their song is heard by others and then there are more at the table singing. They get lost in song and their spirits soar

Ah, thanks. If one, two, and three are people, this is something I can handle :)

I sense a niggun coming on.

The last two lines ring so true.

Dreamer, cool :)

Barbara, thanks

Knaidel, I love niggunim and it's easier to create because you don't need to think of words.

lvn - whaddaya mean? for me, a niggun comes with words. the niggun is half the inspiration, and the words, the other half.

How profound!

Dreamer, I guess we're thinking about two different kinds. Both are beautiful and good.

LV, thanks

Very nice! I love reading short but powerful poems. Its an original, I hope. I'm a solid lover of music myself. No better way to express than through rhythm and harmony!
