In life, we can either let our experiences make us bitter, or we can channel that feeling towards being a good example in order to improve things.

you want weird huh

Social worker tagged me to do the "Six weird things meme" and so here it is.

1. Once in awhile while talking on the phone, my friend and I run out of things to say and there's an embarrassing silence.

2. I bite on my sleeves sometimes.

3. One day last spring after leaving the place I was at, I went to the roof of a mall where there's a patio outside and just sat there for like an hour and then went home.

4. I don't have a credit card. Although it would be nice and convient to have one.

5. My sister and I share the cell phone. Sometimes she takes it and sometimes I do.

6. I'm very intuitive and sometimes just know the answer somehow. Only happens once in awhile though. Like when I was asking someone questions for an assignment and I asked them for their phone number. Well the last number she said was eight, but I (without thinking) wrote zero. Then she said, "No it's eight, no you're right zero, how did you know?"

Okay, I tag you who haven't done it yet

The tunnel

Wrote this poem somewhere and then thought about putting it here.

For those who feel trapped by worry or stress.

The Tunnel

They were walking
Through a dark tunnel
With just a faint flashlight
In their hand.

Looking for the exit,
They kept going and going.
But the tunnel
Appeared endless.
Worry fell on them.
Is there an exit?

Their quest continued.
And still no exit.
They thought about
Giving up but knew however
That they must keep going.
And so they kept going.

Finally, a light shone
From afar and lit up their hope.
As they came closer,
It became brighter.

Traveling

If you can travel anywhere in the world, where would it be? It could be multiple places if you want. I would go to England and Switzerland and of course Israel. Where would you go?

Just a thought

I was listening to a speech online about orthodox achdus and I think the main point the speaker was making is that it’s very hard for all the orthodox groups to unify because each group disagrees and wants to protect those in a specific group. Both the modern groups and chareidi groups are concerned about the other's views being either too modern or too extreme. But the thing they all have in common is that they are all trying to do what they feel is best for the Jewish people. The different groups may disagree on what is best for the Jewish people, but they all care about doing what's best and that’s something to be respected of all the groups.
I like what the speaker said at the end “We can fight and oppose and yet still accord love and respect.” Meaning we can disagree but still respect each other's good intentions and each other.

Interesting

-

I was on the bus going home and this lady sitting next to me asked me where I am from and then asked if I'm from Pakistan. I told her where I'm from and she explained that a person can never tell in this city. I agreed but was thinking, my skin is too light for me to be from Pakistan. Then we spoke about other stuff.

Have you ever gotton weird guesses from people?
