In life, we can either let our experiences make us bitter, or we can channel that feeling towards being a good example in order to improve things.

freedom

Freedom, what is it? Many think it means to be able to do what you want (within the law of course). But that's only one part of it. A lot of people don't realize that when people do whatever they want, they are letting their impules and desires control them. However, If they control their impules and desires instead, then they are really free because they think about the pros and cons first before deciding what to do. Of course this doesn't mean never do what you want. We should enjoy life but should also think about the best way to do that.
Now if a person has an addiction, this is much harder to tackle because the person is really chained down to what they're addicted to. And so they need a lot of extra help and support when trying to recover. But after they get that help and start recovering, they feel a tremendous sence of freedom.

Our Adventure

I've decided to change my idea and write something else. It's a group story that I'll start and you guys will continue it in the comments section.

Here we go

Our Adventure
We all met in NY and spent a couple of days there going to different places and hanging out. Then we went to the airport and waited to board the plane. Finally, we got on the plane and made ourselves comfortable. Then the captain told us where we're going and we froze. "What?!" someone in the group said "That's not where we want to go!"
"We're on the wrong plane!" Someone else said.
We tried to get off, but the flight attendent wouldn't let us. It was too late. We were stuck and going to....

busy

-

Well the holidays are gone and it's back to the mundane. I miss the atmosphere and everything.

I'm going to be busy this week and so I'm not going to get to write much. But I do want to share this short funny story I made up.

Have a good rest of the week

???

Today, I was standing at a certain bus stop waiting for a bus when this girl inside a car called out my name, S____. I looked inside and she asked me where I'm going and I told her, home. Then I went inside and sat next to a couple of other girls in the back. I looked at the driver and was wondering who she is and how she knows me. We spoke a bit about yom tov and other things and I was debating in my mind whether I should ask her what her name is. You know how it is when you don't want people to know that you forgot, but you're really curious. After awhile, I finally said, what's your name. But the girl next to me thought I was talking to her and said her name instead. No problem, I'll just ask the driver again. But wait, I don't want to sound like I'm asking everyone. And so I stayed curious. I did have an idea of who it might be, but later I remembered that the person I'm thinking of is in seminary and probrably stayed there for yom tov. Anyhow, it was nice to get a lift.

The weekend

The first two days of Sukkos were really nice, B''H. My brother, who lives on the east coast, came with his wife along with her sister and brother in law. They had dinner here and lunch somewhere else. It's nice to see them again.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do for chol hamoed, but hopefully I'll do something interesting.
How's your sukkos going?

Staring...

Lets see, for the early childhood class that I'm taking, I have to intern in a preschool as a student teacher. And since this is the second class that has us interning, for this class my teacher has to come film me there twice during the semester. The first filming was today. My biggest worry was that I would be standing on the yard doing nothing.
I tried talking to a couple of kids at a table in the yard but they didn't say much and so I moved on to another area. Fortunatly, b''h I found a good oppertunity to talk with a couple of kids in the sandbox. The kids and I spoke about what they were doing and before I knew it, the fifteen minutes of filming were up, which was a big relief. I think I did okay, but I know I could have done better. For example, asking them more questions or something to enhance the conversation. Later, I'm going to have to view it with her, which I'm kind of shy about but hopefully it'll help to know what to improve and how.
