In life, we can either let our experiences make us bitter, or we can channel that feeling towards being a good example in order to improve things.

What was some of your favorite college experiences?

Also, what was the hardest subject you took?

There is an excellent lesson in which the harder the class, the greater the reward is. For example, it feels much better to get an A in calculus than in elementary algebra. Plus, if you do well, your confidence gets a boost. If you don't do well though, at least you tried. And you can try again. I was thinking about this because of my own experience and the boost in confidence during that time.

Have a good weekend everyone

I have always loved math. Then I met calculus. It was by far the hardest subject I took. It was just not logical. My professor was a genius who had difficulty teaching at our level, am I venting? I guess so. I still managed to graduate. whew.

Frum Idealist you ar such a show off lol... I suck at math.

In response to your post, there is an old adage...

"If its bitter at the start it is so much sweter in the end".

Afi, I like math too. However, with calculus, I was too chicken and so I did finite math instead.

FG, I find that a lot of us have a hard time with this subject. It's just one of those subjects that can get really complicated.
Also, thanks for the adage.

College is such a funny time. I feel like I won't be able to say anything for certainty about it until I'm done.

I will say that some of my best times in college have been in the newspaper office where I edit. It may sound crazy, but there is nothing like leaving the office at 7:30 a.m. after 13 hours in the office, knowing that together with other dedicated and intelligent people you put out a paper worth reading and a supplement that is just awesome.

Best college experience? The last day of school.

Sorry, but most of college was a negative experience for me. Boruch Hashem, it's over.

Calculus was a real nitemare, failed it twice..And it wasnt the least bit rewarding..

That's why I stayed away from it and took a different math class instead.

Languages. I thought I'd do something for fun, learn some Spanish and Arabic. When my cummulative GPA sunk a full half point, I knew I was in trouble. That didn't last. But overall, learning my limits was quite fun.
